2 Chainz is a Grammy-winning rapper, songwriter and television host from College Park, Georgia, whose verse on Chance the Rapper's "No Problem" won Best Rap Performance. Born Tauheed Epps, he played basketball at Alabama State before making his name as half of the duo Playaz Circle, signed to Ludacris's Disturbing tha Peace label, whose 2007 debut single "Duffle Bag Boy" featured Lil Wayne. After signing a solo deal with Def Jam in 2012, he landed on Kanye West's "Mercy," then topped the Billboard 200 with his debut album, Based on a T.R.U. Story, powered by "No Lie" with Drake, "Birthday Song" with Kanye West and "I'm Different." B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time followed with "Feds Watching" featuring Pharrell Williams. Later albums include ColleGrove, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music, Rap or Go to the League, So Help Me God!, Dope Don't Sell Itself, Welcome 2 Collegrove with Lil Wayne and Life Is Beautiful (2025). His honors include three BET Awards and five BET Hip Hop Awards, among them the 2013 BET Award for Best Collaboration. He also hosted four seasons of the Vice TV series Most Expensivest, reviewing the world's priciest luxury goods.
