Book The White Buffalo
The White Buffalo is Oregon singer-songwriter Jake Smith, a commanding baritone whose dark, story-driven songs straddle country, rock, folk and Americana. Inspired by Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen and raised on both country music and punk rock, Smith is known for his wide vocal range, haunting whistling in place of harmonica, and lyrics that wrestle with faith, love and war. His music has become a soundtrack favorite, appearing in Sons of Anarchy, Californication, The Punisher, Longmire and This Is Us, the surf film Shelter and the Marvel movie Logan. He debuted with Hogtied Like a Rodeo (2002), later re-recorded it as Hogtied Revisited (2009), and released the EP Prepare for Black and Blue in 2010. His catalog continued with Once Upon a Time in the West (2012), Shadows, Greys & Evil Ways (2013), Love and the Death of Damnation (2015), Darkest Darks, Lightest Lights (2017), On the Widow's Walk (2020), Year Of The Dark Horse (2022) and A Freight Train Through the Night (2024). Compared to storytellers like Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle, The White Buffalo delivers gripping, intimate live shows built on a voice that fills any room.
