Book Tears For Fears

Tears for Fears is the English pop rock duo of Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, who launched the band in Bath in 1981 and became one of the defining acts of the 1980s synth-pop era and the Second British Invasion. Their debut, The Hurting (1983), delivered "Mad World," "Change" and "Pale Shelter." Songs from the Big Chair (1985) topped the Billboard 200 and gave them two Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers, "Shout" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" (1985), the latter also taking the Brit Award for Best British Single in 1986. The Seeds of Love (1989) added the lush hit "Sowing the Seeds of Love." Orzabal carried the name through the 1990s with Elemental (1993), home of "Break It Down Again," and Raoul and the Kings of Spain (1995). The two founders reunited in 2000, released Everybody Loves a Happy Ending in 2004, and returned in 2022 with The Tipping Point, followed by the Tipping Point World Tour in 2023. On stage they offer a catalog of instantly recognizable anthems, soaring harmonies and the polished sound that made them radio staples around the world.
