Book Steve Earle
Steve Earle began as a Nashville staff songwriter and grew into a leading voice in Americana, mixing country, rock and folk. His 1986 debut Guitar Town broke him through, and Copperhead Road (1988) gave him his best-known title track. He has since made over twenty studio albums, among them Train a Comin' (1995), Transcendental Blues (2000), Jerusalem (2002), Washington Square Serenade (2007), the Colvin & Earle (2016) collaboration with Shawn Colvin and Ghosts of West Virginia (2020). Earle has won three Grammy Awards in the folk and Americana categories, for The Revolution Starts Now, Washington Square Serenade and Townes, and holds 16 Grammy nominations overall. Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Emmylou Harris are among the artists who have recorded his songs. He founded E-Squared Records, wrote the book I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive (2011), and acted in the HBO series The Wire and Treme. He joined the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2020, and he brings a gruff, story-driven band set to the stage.
