Book StaySolidRocky
Richmond, Virginia rapper, singer and songwriter StaySolidRocky is the artist whose melodic single "Party Girl" made him one of the breakout names of 2020. Born Darak Kings Figueroa on August 6, 2001, he spent a few years in San Antonio, Texas before moving back to his hometown, where he began writing and recording his own songs. He put out the music video for "Party Girl" in December 2019, and after the track had gathered around two million YouTube views it took off on TikTok, carrying it to number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100. That rise brought a deal with Columbia Records, and his debut EP, Fallin', arrived on July 17, 2020, with "Party Girl" among its seven tracks. His style draws on the music he grew up with, including Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Lil Wayne, and was later shaped by artists such as NBA Youngboy, Kevin Gates and Kodak Black. On stage he delivers the catchy, sing-along hook that turned a viral moment into a national hit.
