Book Rhett Akins
Rhett Akins is a country singer and songwriter from Georgia, born in 1969. He signed with Decca Records and released A Thousand Memories in 1995 and Somebody New in 1996, then moved to MCA Nashville for What Livin's All About in 1998. Friday Night in Dixie arrived in 2002 on Audium Entertainment, followed by People Like Me in 2006 and Down South in 2009, six studio albums in all. Akins eventually became a sought-after Nashville hit writer who penned chart-topping songs for other artists, and he earned a Grammy nomination. He is also the father of country star Thomas Rhett. Onstage he offers a relaxed, good-natured set of traditional-leaning country, with stories behind the songs, warm vocals and the easy charm of a veteran who knows how to charm a roomful of country fans.
