Book Blackhawk
Blackhawk is a Nashville country band known for rich three-part harmonies and a string of 1990s radio hits. The group was founded in 1992 by Henry Paul, formerly of the Southern rock band Outlaws, together with keyboardist Dave Robbins and singer-guitarist Van Stephenson, both accomplished songwriters for acts such as Restless Heart. Signed to Arista Nashville in 1993, Blackhawk released its self-titled debut album in 1994, then Strong Enough in 1995, Love & Gravity in 1997, The Sky's the Limit in 1998 and a Greatest Hits set. Their top-ten country hits include "Every Once in a While," "I Sure Can Smell the Rain," "Down in Flames," "That's Just About Right," "I'm Not Strong Enough to Say No" and "Like There Ain't No Yesterday." Spirit Dancer followed on Columbia Records in 2002, and the band has continued independently with Down From the Mountain, Brothers of the Southland, The Spirit of Christmas and Blue Highway in 2022. Today Paul and Robbins lead a seasoned touring band that delivers polished harmonies and beloved '90s country favorites.
