Book Stacy Dean Campbell

Stacy Dean Campbell is an American country singer-songwriter, author and television creator whose work celebrates the stories and landscapes of the American West. He started out singing in clubs near the University of Oklahoma before heading to Nashville, where he became a staff songwriter for Tree Music and launched his solo recording career on Columbia Records. His 1992 debut, Lonesome Wins Again, sent three singles onto the Billboard country chart, and he followed it with Hurt City in 1995. Ashes of Old Love (1999) put his songwriting front and center and climbed to No. 3 on the Americana chart. As a writer for other artists, he co-wrote Trace Adkins's single "I'm Gonna Love You Anyway" with Dean Miller. Campbell later turned to prose, publishing his first novel, Cottonwood, in 2004, a story set in 1930s West Texas and packaged with a CD of 12 original songs inspired by the book. He has since worked as a director and writer of music videos and short films and created and hosted Bronco Roads, a syndicated travel series about life in the West, bringing a storyteller's warmth and classic honky-tonk voice to the stage.
