Book Rancid
Rancid is an American punk band that started in Berkeley, California, in 1991. Tim Armstrong and Matt Freeman, formerly of Operation Ivy, founded it, and the pair have anchored every lineup since. Today they play alongside guitarist and singer Lars Frederiksen and drummer Branden Steineckert, who replaced original drummer Brett Reed in 2006. Along with Green Day and the Offspring, Rancid is often named among the bands that pulled punk back into the American mainstream in the mid-1990s, and it has kept the loyalty of the underground audience that grew up with it. The group's catalog runs from Let's Go in 1994 and ...And Out Come the Wolves in 1995 through Life Won't Wait (1998), Indestructible (2003), Let the Dominoes Fall (2009), ...Honor Is All We Know (2014), Trouble Maker (2017) and Tomorrow Never Comes (2023). They played the Warped Tour in 1998 and bring a fast, loud, sing-along set to the stage.
