Book Puscifer
Puscifer is the shape-shifting rock project of Maynard James Keenan, the singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle, who calls it his "creative subconscious." The name first surfaced as a fictional band in the debut episode of HBO's Mr. Show, and the first real Puscifer track, "Rev 22:20," appeared on the Underworld soundtrack in 2003. Longtime collaborators Mat Mitchell and Carina Round later became permanent members alongside Keenan. The debut album, "V" Is for Vagina (2007), opened at number 25 on the Billboard 200 and number one on the Independent Albums chart, and Conditions of My Parole (2011), tracked in Jerome, Arizona, among the barrels of Keenan's Caduceus Cellars winery, entered the Billboard 200 at number 27. The EP Donkey Punch the Night followed, then Money Shot (2015), led by "Grand Canyon," and Existential Reckoning (2020), led by "Apocalyptical." The band's fifth album, Normal Isn't, arrived in 2026. In 2024 Keenan brought the band on the Sessanta tour with A Perfect Circle and Primus. The group also runs a store in Jerome, opened in 2008.
