Book Nigella Lawson

Nigella Lawson is an English cookery author, TV cook and onetime journalist celebrated for an easygoing, indulgent style in the kitchen. After studying at the University of Oxford she worked as a book reviewer and restaurant critic and in 1986 was named deputy literary editor at The Sunday Times before going freelance. Her first cookbook, How to Eat (1998), was a breakout success, and How to Be a Domestic Goddess (2000) won her the British Book Award for Author of the Year. She became a television star with Nigella Bites (1999 to 2001) and went on to front Nigella's Christmas Kitchen, Nigella Express (2007) and Simply Nigella (2015) at home, and Nigella Feasts (2006) on Food Network in America, where she also judged the ABC cooking competition The Taste from 2013 to 2014. In 2026 she joined The Great British Bake Off as a judge and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature for her contribution to food writing. She has also served as a Booker Prize judge and has her own cookware line, Living Kitchen. Lawson speaks with eloquence and humor about food, writing and home cooking.
