Book Padma Lakshmi

Padma Lakshmi is an American television host, author, producer, entrepreneur and activist. She became a household name as host of the Bravo cooking competition Top Chef from 2006 to 2023, and she created, hosts and executive produces the Hulu docuseries Taste the Nation with Padma Lakshmi, which premiered in 2020. Her work as host and producer on those two series has brought her sixteen Primetime Emmy nominations. Born in India and raised in the United States, Lakshmi first built an international modeling career, working in Paris, Milan and New York for designers including Emanuel Ungaro and Giorgio Armani. She has written five books: the cookbooks Easy Exotic and Tangy, Tart, Hot & Sweet; The Encyclopedia of Spices & Herbs; the memoir Love, Loss, and What We Ate; and the children's book Tomatoes for Neela, the last two both New York Times bestsellers. She has launched five businesses, became a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme in 2019, and appeared on the Time 100 list in 2023. She speaks on food, culture, immigration, entrepreneurship and representation.
