Book Modestep
Modestep is the London dubstep and electronic rock project of DJ and producer Josh Friend, known for fusing heavy bass drops with live guitars and big rock vocals. The project began in 2008 with Josh and his brother Tony Friend, who hosted a weekly Sunday online show, Modestep Radio, billed as the church of dubstep, where they premiered early tracks such as "Feel Good", "To The Stars" and "Sunlight". Expanding into a full band, Modestep released "Feel Good" as their debut single in 2011, and their first album, Evolution Theory (2013), delivered five singles: "Feel Good", "Sunlight", "To The Stars", "Show Me a Sign" and "Another Day". The second album, London Road (2015), introduced new members Pat Lundy and Deek. Between 2017 and early 2019 the act released four singles through Canadian label Monstercat plus three EPs via Disciple Records. Since 2022 Modestep has continued as a solo act led by Josh Friend, with the album Give Up The Ghost arriving in 2025. Shows bring a high-voltage mix of electronic production and rock power, built to get dance floors and festival crowds moving.
