Book McKayla Maroney

McKayla Maroney is an American former artistic gymnast and one of the standout members of the Fierce Five, the U.S. women's team that captured gold in the team competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics. At those Games she also earned an individual silver medal on vault, and a photo of her unimpressed expression on the podium became one of the internet's most famous memes. Vault was her signature event: she won the world vault title as part of the gold medal American squad at the 2011 World Championships, then defended it at the 2013 World Championships, the first U.S. woman to repeat as world vault champion. Earlier, at the 2010 Pan American Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico, she helped the U.S. win the team title and added gold medals on vault and floor exercise, the same year she won the junior national vault crown. Known for her powerful Amanar vault, Maroney stepped away from gymnastics in 2016. She brings Olympic champion credentials, a playful sense of humor and a famous internet moment that fans still love to talk about.
