Book London Grammar
London Grammar are the indie pop trio of singer Hannah Reid, guitarist Dan Rothman and multi-instrumentalist Dominic "Dot" Major, known for Reid's soaring voice and spacious, atmospheric songs such as "Strong," "Wasting My Young Years" and "Hey Now." Reid and Rothman, both from London, met in 2009 during their first year at the University of Nottingham, when Rothman noticed Reid played guitar and suggested they write together. Major, from Northampton, joined a year later, playing keyboards, djembe and drums. The trio chose a name that reflected both their home city and its international character, and after finishing their studies in 2010 they moved to London to pursue music. In 2013 they released the debut EP Metal & Dust, sang on "Help Me Lose My Mind" from Disclosure's album Settle, and issued their first full-length album, If You Wait, which also featured their haunting cover of Kavinsky's "Nightcall." Truth Is a Beautiful Thing followed in 2017, then Californian Soil in 2021 and The Greatest Love in 2024, each building on their mix of minimalist electronic production, piano and guitar.
