Book Killer Mike
Killer Mike swept three categories at the 2024 Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap Album for MICHAEL and Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song for "SCIENTISTS & ENGINEERS," and he holds four Grammys in all. The Atlanta rapper, actor and activist, born Michael Render, made his recording debut on Outkast's Stankonia and won his first Grammy for the duo's "The Whole World." Signing with Big Boi's Purple Ribbon Records and Columbia, he released Monster (2003), which reached number ten on the Billboard 200, then the independent I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind albums, Pl3dge (2011) on T.I.'s Grand Hustle, and R.A.P. Music (2012), produced entirely by El-P. That partnership grew into Run the Jewels, the acclaimed duo the two formed in 2013, which has released four albums and headlined festivals worldwide. MICHAEL (2023) brought his solo career to new heights, and he followed it with Michael & The Mighty Midnight Revival: Songs for Sinners and Saints (2024). Beyond music, he co-founded the digital bank Greenwood, owns the SWAG Shop barbershops in Atlanta and appeared in the film Baby Driver. His live shows are known for raw power and sharp, socially conscious lyrics.
