Book Joseph Capriati
Joseph Capriati is an Italian techno DJ and producer from Caserta who has become a fixture of the global club and festival circuit. Born Giuseppe Capriati in 1987, he started DJing at age eleven in 1998 and held a residency at his hometown's Disco Seven Club under the name Prince J. He made his professional debut in 2007 with the Formaldehyde EP on Globox Recordings, learning his craft from mentors Rino Cerrone and Markantonio and joining them in the trio Neapolitan Gangsta. In 2009 he joined Adam Beyer's Drumcode label with the EPs Sidechains/Kontrol Room and Iron Pump/Black Line, and released the Login EP on Chris Liebing's CLR. His debut album Save My Soul followed in 2010, and his second album, Self Portrait, landed on Drumcode in 2013, while Congenial Endeavor (2012) paired him with Beyer. Capriati has played landmark rooms and events such as Berlin's Berghain, Amsterdam's Awakenings and London's Fabric, and he has been a regular at Spain's Monegros Festival since 2011. His sets are driving and hypnotic, rooted in Neapolitan techno with a melodic, emotional edge.
