Book Jim Jefferies
Jim Jefferies is an Australian comic, actor and writer known for fearless, story-driven comedy. Born Geoffrey James Nugent, he started doing stand-up after leaving university, worked first in Sydney and then built his career in Britain, adopting his stage name after an emcee mangled his birth name at a gig. He shifted from one-liners to long-form anecdotal sets and won American audiences in 2009 with his debut HBO special I Swear to God. His Netflix special Freedumb arrived in 2016, followed by The Unusual Punishment Tour. On television he created the FX sitcom Legit (2013–2014) and played its lead, hosted Comedy Central's The Jim Jefferies Show (2017–2019) and began hosting The 1% Club in 2023. He has played the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Just for Laughs, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Reading and Leeds and Glastonbury, and appeared on The World Stands Up and Comedy Blue. Jefferies delivers sharp, unfiltered humor and seasoned headliner timing to any room.
