Book Four Tops
The Four Tops started out in 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, as a vocal quartet called the Four Aims. They became a flagship act of the 1960s Motown sound and helped carry the label to worldwide recognition. Their repertoire draws on soul, R&B, disco and adult contemporary, and they recorded twenty-seven studio albums, among them Four Tops in 1964, Second Album in 1965, On Top in 1966, Four Tops on Broadway in 1967, Reach Out in 1967, Yesterday's Dreams in 1968 and Four Tops Now! in 1969. The group entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, received the NAACP Image Award Hall of Fame Award in 1992, earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
