Book Engelbert Humperdinck

Engelbert Humperdinck is a British singer whose rich baritone ballads made him one of the defining romantic voices of the late 1960s and beyond. Born Arnold George Dorsey, he performed as Gerry Dorsey before teaming with manager Gordon Mills, who suggested the famous stage name. Success arrived in 1967 with "Release Me" and "The Last Waltz," each a million-seller, followed quickly by "There Goes My Everything," "Am I That Easy to Forget" and "A Man Without Love." He scored major American hits in the 1970s with "After the Lovin'" (1976) and "This Moment in Time" (1979). The 1990s lounge revival introduced him to new fans through "Lesbian Seagull" from Beavis and Butt-Head Do America and The Dance Album (1998). Later projects include the Grammy-nominated gospel record Always Hear the Harmony: The Gospel Sessions (2003) and the duets collection Engelbert Calling (2014), and he represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision in 2012 with "Love Will Set You Free." He is honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and his record sales top 140 million. His concerts are elegant, romantic evenings built on a catalog of classic love songs.
