Book Emeli Sandé

Emeli Sandé is a Scottish-raised singer and songwriter whose soulful voice and piano-led songs made her one of Britain's standout artists of the 2010s. Born in Sunderland and raised in Alford, Aberdeenshire, she first drew attention as a featured vocalist on Chipmunk's "Diamond Rings" in 2009 and Wiley's "Never Be Your Woman", and signed with Virgin Records in 2010. Her first solo single, "Heaven", arrived in 2011, followed by the hits "Read All About It" with Professor Green and "Beneath Your Beautiful" with Labrinth. Her debut album, Our Version of Events (2012), was Britain's top-selling album of the year, and she performed at the London 2012 Olympics, singing at the opening ceremony and again at the close. She received the Brit Awards Critics' Choice honor in 2012, won both British Female Solo Artist and the album prize in 2013, and took British Female Solo Artist again in 2017. Later albums include Long Live the Angels (2016), Real Life (2019), Let's Say for Instance (2022) and How Were We to Know (2023). She is a Member of the Order of the British Empire, and live she delivers stirring, gospel-tinged vocals.
