Book Hozier
Hozier, the Irish singer and musician born Andrew Hozier-Byrne, writes songs rooted in folk, soul and blues, often drawing on religious and literary imagery and taking a stand on social justice. His first single, "Take Me to Church" (2013), crossed over from American rock radio to peak at number two on the Hot 100, and his self-titled debut album followed in 2014. The 2018 EP Nina Cried Power sent its title track to number one on Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs chart. Wasteland, Baby! (2019), his second album, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200. In 2022 he teamed with composer Bear McCreary on "Blood Upon the Snow" for the video game God of War: Ragnarök. Unreal Unearth arrived in 2023 on Rubyworks Records, and the 2024 EP Unheard included "Too Sweet," which became his first number-one single in the United States and Ireland. Time added him to its Time 100 list in 2025. His music draws on Irish folk tradition as much as American soul and blues.
