Book DJ Earworm
DJ Earworm, the stage name of Jordan Roseman, is a San Francisco mashup artist celebrated for intricate, songwriting-driven music and video mashups. His signature project, the annual "United State of Pop", weaves the year's top 25 songs, drawn in part from Billboard's Year-End Hot 100, into a single seamless track, and it has become a year-end tradition for pop fans. At the University of Illinois he switched from physics to music theory and computer science. He began making mashups in 2003, going beyond simple A-versus-B blends, and adopted the name DJ Earworm after encouragement from DJ Adrian at Club Bootie. His style layers samples gradually so that each track builds texture and momentum. In 2006 he wrote Audio Mashup Construction Kit, a how-to guide for aspiring producers, and he released Electro Collection, Volume 1 in 2008. His "United State of Pop" videos from 2008, 2009 and 2010 were shown in the FACT exhibition The Art of Pop Video in 2013. Performing with Ableton Live and adding live visuals to his sets since 2010, DJ Earworm delivers high-energy shows packed with instantly familiar hits.
