Book DeAndre Yedlin

DeAndre Yedlin is an American professional soccer player, a speedy defender who has represented his country on the international stage and played club soccer on both sides of the Atlantic. Born and raised in Seattle, he began playing at age four, came through local youth clubs and the state Olympic Development Program, and joined the Seattle Sounders FC youth academy for the 2010 to 2011 season. Coaches there praised his quickness, his reading of the game and his ability to push up the flank and deliver crosses. At the University of Akron he played for coach Caleb Porter, starting 20 of 23 games as a freshman and earning Freshman All-American honors from College Soccer News. Yedlin also played for the U.S. under-20 team in 2013, then signed with his hometown Sounders, where he broke into Major League Soccer that same year. He earned his first senior call-up for the United States national team in 2014. In 2015 he moved to England with Tottenham Hotspur and also spent time at Sunderland. A natural right-back who can also play wing-back or wide midfield, he now plays in MLS for Real Salt Lake.
