Book Bohemia

Bohemia is a Pakistani-American rapper, singer-songwriter and record producer widely credited as one of the founding voices of Desi hip hop, and he remains closely tied to the Punjabi rap movement he helped create. Born Roger David in Karachi in 1979 and raised in Peshawar, he moved to the United States as a teenager and found his musical footing in Oakland, California. There he connected with producer Sha One, and the two launched their own label, The Outfit Entertainment. Bohemia began writing verses in Punjabi over Sha One's beats, building the catalog that became his debut album, Vich Pardesan De, an autobiographical portrait of a young South Asian immigrant navigating American street life. The early single "Sha Te Ra" arrived as a music video. His second album, Pesa Nasha Pyar, made history as the first full-length Punjabi rap record released through a major label, and it was recorded in the duo's downtown Oakland studio. Blending West Coast rhythm with Punjabi wordplay, Bohemia brings a pioneering, bilingual energy and a devoted global fan base to every performance.
