Book Mike Jones

Mike Jones is a Houston rapper whose catchphrase "Who? Mike Jones!" became a signature hook of Southern hip-hop. He started out in 1999 with the group Souf Folk, released the album Country Thuggin, then launched his own independent label, Ice Age Entertainment, in 2001 and hustled his music directly to fans and DJs. Signing with Houston's Swishahouse put him at the heart of the city's rap scene, and his 2004 single "Still Tippin'" with Slim Thug and Paul Wall broke through to the Billboard Hot 100. "Back Then" followed in 2005 and reached number 22, setting up his debut album, Who Is Mike Jones? (2005), which debuted in the Billboard 200 top three. In 2005 he also guested on T-Pain's "I'm 'n Luv (wit a Stripper)," a top-five Hot 100 hit. His second album, The Voice (2009), produced the charting singles "Next to You" and "Cuddy Buddy," the latter with Trey Songz, Lil Wayne and Twista. Jones brings a crowd-pleasing set of slowed, bass-heavy Texas anthems and call-and-response energy that gets audiences shouting his name back at him.
