Book Blueface
Los Angeles rapper and pro boxer Blueface broke through in the late 2010s with an unhurried, off-the-beat delivery that set him apart from everyone else in hip-hop. Born Johnathan Michael Porter in 1997, he started rapping in 2017, cut his first track "Deadlocs" with producer Laudiano, and built a California following with the 2018 projects Famous Cryp and Two Coccy. A music video he dropped in October 2018 took off online as a viral meme, and a month later he signed with Cash Money West, the West Coast arm of Birdman's Cash Money Records. His 2018 single "Thotiana" grew into a sleeper smash in 2019, climbing to number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 and spawning remixes with Cardi B and YG, while "Next Big Thing" drew fresh attention alongside it. His catalog also includes Dirt Bag (2019), the debut studio album Find the Beat (2020), Famous Cryp (Reloaded) (2020) and Free Blueface (2024). On stage he brings the instantly recognizable cadence and crowd-ready hooks that made his name.
