Book Bear's Den
Bear's Den are a London band whose warm, heartfelt sound blends indie folk with alternative country. Vocalist and guitarist Andrew Davie founded the group in 2009 with multi-instrumentalist Kevin Jones, both formerly of Cherbourg, naming it after Bearsden, the town near the town near his grandparents' home, where Davie first began songwriting. Their early days on the road became the stuff of legend: a tour across the United States in Volkswagen campervans alongside Ben Howard, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Staves, captured in the 2014 documentary Austin to Boston. They have since toured America several times as headliners and in support of Mumford & Sons and Daughter. Bear's Den have released five studio albums, including Islands (2014), Red Earth & Pouring Rain (2016), Fragments (2020) and Blue Hours (2022), plus nine EPs and a soundtrack album. "Above the Clouds of Pompeii" earned an Ivor Novello Award nomination in 2015, and "Agape" brought Americana Awards nominations in 2016. Jones left in 2025, and Davie now leads the band. Their concerts are intimate and moving, with rich harmonies, banjo and guitar, and songs that build from hushed beginnings to soaring, communal choruses.
