Book Andrew Wiggins
Andrew Wiggins is a Canadian basketball star and NBA champion known for his smooth athleticism and two-way play. Raised in Canada, he led Vaughan Secondary School to an Ontario provincial title before transferring to Huntington Prep in West Virginia, where he became a McDonald's All-American and the top-rated prospect in his class. After one season at Kansas, where he earned second-team consensus All-American honors, the Cleveland Cavaliers made him the first overall pick of the 2014 NBA draft, making him only the second Canadian ever chosen first. Traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves before his rookie season, he won the NBA Rookie of the Year Award for 2014–15. In 2020 he was dealt to the Golden State Warriors, and in 2022 he enjoyed a banner year, starting for the Western Conference in his first All-Star Game and then winning the NBA championship. He now plays for the Miami Heat and has also suited up for the Canadian national team. Wiggins brings a quiet confidence, a championship pedigree and a proud Canadian story that resonates with fans on both sides of the border.
