Book Kemba Walker
Kemba Walker is an American basketball star whose fearless guard play made him a hero at UConn and a four-time NBA All-Star. Raised in New York City, he starred at Rice High School in Harlem and earned McDonald's All-American honors before heading to Connecticut. In 2010–11 he was the nation's second-leading scorer and a consensus first-team All-American, and he carried the Huskies to the 2011 NCAA championship while being named Most Outstanding Player of the tournament; the school later added him to its Huskies of Honor. Drafted ninth overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in 2011, he became the face of the franchise, and he went on to play for the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks before closing his playing days with AS Monaco, where he won a French LNB Élite title. Along the way he made an All-NBA team, twice won the NBA Sportsmanship Award and represented the U.S. national team. Walker now serves as a player enhancement coach for the Charlotte Hornets, and he brings a humble, upbeat personality and an underdog story fans love.
