Book Ben Simmons
Ben Simmons is a three-time NBA All-Star and the 2018 NBA Rookie of the Year, taken first overall in the 2016 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers. The Australian-American point forward grew up in Melbourne, attended Box Hill Senior Secondary College and then moved to Florida to play at Montverde Academy. In his single college season at LSU he earned consensus All-American first-team honors and was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Year, and he became the third Melbourne-born top pick in 11 years, after Andrew Bogut and Kyrie Irving. A foot injury kept him out of his first NBA season, but he returned to win Rookie of the Year and helped anchor the 76ers through three All-Star selections. After the 2020 to 2021 season he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets bought out his contract in February 2025, and he signed with the Los Angeles Clippers before joining the Sacramento Kings.
