Book The Blakes

The Blakes are a Seattle indie rock band built around brothers Garnet and Snow Keim, who busked their way across the country in the late 1990s before settling in the Pacific Northwest. They formed the group in 2001 after meeting drummer Bob Husak at a Seattle coffeehouse, taking their name from a dream Snow had about the poet William Blake. After a stretch in Los Angeles spent playing shows and living in a motel, they returned to Seattle, where their fourth release, Little Whispers, won major support from radio station KEXP in 2005. Their self-titled LP followed in 2006, and after signing with Seattle label Light In The Attic they issued the Streets EP and a remixed, remastered edition of The Blakes. In 2007 and 2008 they toured internationally, playing landmark rooms such as Le Bataclan and L'Olympia and festivals including Lollapalooza, Bumbershoot, Sasquatch and Eurockéennes. Later releases include the Lights On EP and Souvenir (2009), Art of Losses (2012) and A Darker Green (2014). On stage they deliver raw, garage-flavored rock with brotherly energy.
