The Band Perry is an American country band formed in Greeneville, Tennessee, in 2005, fronted by lead singer and guitarist Kimberly Perry. Kimberly started out singing in her own teenage band, with her brothers Neil and Reid first working as her roadies and then opening her shows; the siblings joined forces as the Band Perry and went out on the road with a New Faces of Country package that year. Discovered in 2008 by Bob Doyle, manager of Garth Brooks, they joined Republic Nashville that August of 2009, debuting on radio with "Hip to My Heart" (2009). Their self-titled first album followed on October 12, 2010, and its ballad "If I Die Young" (2010) went to number one on both Billboard's Hot Country Songs and Hot Adult Contemporary charts. Pioneer (2013) added the number one singles "Better Dig Two" and "Done" plus the top 10 hits "Don't Let Me Be Lonely" and "Chainsaw". The group explored pop in 2017 and began releasing music independently in 2018. Neil and Reid were members until 2025, and that year the band returned with Kimberly Perry and mandolinist Johnny Costello. Their shows deliver soaring harmonies and hits.
