Book Josh Abbott Band
Josh Abbott Band is a Texas country outfit from Lubbock that has become a fixture of the Texas country scene. Josh Abbott started the group in 2006 while a graduate student at Texas Tech University, recruiting friends and fraternity brothers, and after cutting a four-song demo featuring "Taste" the band hit the road in 2008, the same year it released its debut album Scapegoat. The sophomore record She's Like Texas (2010) reached the Top Country Albums chart, drew comparisons to Steve Earle, and produced "Oh, Tonight", which climbed the Country Songs chart. Front Row Seat (2015) was an ambitious concept album, and its single "Wasn't That Drunk" featured Carly Pearce. The band's discography also includes Small Town Family Dream (2012), Until My Voice Goes Out (2017), Settle Me Down (2020), The Highway Kind (2020) and Somewhere Down The Road (2024). Today's line-up pairs Abbott with players on percussion, keys, mandolin, harmonica, bass, electric guitar and fiddle, giving the shows a full, rootsy sound. Expect a high-energy Texas dancehall atmosphere and a crowd singing every word.
