Book The Lacs
The Lacs are an American country rap duo of Clay "Uncle Snap" Sharpe and Brian "Rooster" King, known for pairing Southern hip-hop rhythms with backwoods country storytelling. The act started out on Side Ya Mouth Records with three self-released albums, including Lacology (2006), when Brandon Herndon was also part of the lineup. The Lacs then joined Backroad Records, an arm of Colt Ford's Average Joes Entertainment, and released Country Boy's Paradise (2010), 190 Proof (2012), Keep It Redneck (2013), Nothing in Particular (2014), Outlaw in Me (2015), Welcome to Dodge City (2016) and American Rebelution (2017), with several of those titles reaching the Billboard 200. In 2017 they founded their own label, Dirt Rock Empire, launching it with the compilation Dirtbagz, Vol. 1, spotlighting label acts Hard Target, Crucifix and Nate Kenyon. Their later releases include Dirt Rock (2018), Rise and Shine (2019) and Nothing In Particular II (2020). A Lacs performance is a loud, good-humored celebration of rural life, filled with stomping beats, twangy hooks and redneck anthems that get crowds singing along and raising a glass.
