Book Stephen Pearcy

Stephen Pearcy is the American singer and songwriter best known as the founder and frontman of the heavy metal band Ratt, a leading force of the 1980s Los Angeles rock scene. As a teenager he dreamed of racing top fuel cars, but music took over, and he formed Mickey Ratt in San Diego in 1977 before moving the band to Hollywood in 1980. Shortened to Ratt in 1981, the group built a following on the Sunset Strip club circuit. Their debut album, Out of the Cellar (1984), became a huge seller on the strength of "Round and Round" (1984), a staple of early MTV, and Invasion of Your Privacy (1985) added "Lay It Down" (1985). Beyond Ratt, Pearcy created the bands Arcade, Vicious Delite and Vertex, and in 1995 launched his own independent label for solo projects and music for film and television. His solo albums include Before and Laughter (2000), Fueler (2004), Rock Kandy (2007), Under My Skin (2008), Smash (2017) and View to a Thrill (2018). On stage he delivers the snarling vocals and classic glam metal anthems that made Ratt a defining band of its era.
