Stephanie Sigman is a Mexican and American actress whose work spans international cinema, Hollywood franchises and hit streaming television. After starting on Mexican TV and debuting on film in Rio de Oro, she broke through in 2011 as Laura Guerrero, the lead of the crime drama Miss Bala, which Mexico submitted for the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 84th Academy Awards and which earned her a Dublin Film Critics' Circle nomination. She followed with the documentary Flight of the Butterflies, the Norwegian thriller Pioneer (2013) and a recurring role on FX's The Bridge, and in 2014 she appeared in the Arctic Monkeys video for "Snap Out of It". In 2015 she played Valeria Vélez in the first season of Netflix's Narcos and joined the James Bond franchise in Spectre (2015), only the second Mexican actress ever cast as a Bond girl. Her later films include Going Under (2016), War on Everyone and Annabelle: Creation (2017), and she starred in the first two seasons of S.W.A.T. beginning in 2017. Sigman brings bilingual star power and a cosmopolitan, cross-cultural career to every audience.
