Book Staind
Staind is a Springfield, Massachusetts, rock band that took shape in 1995 around frontman Aaron Lewis, guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist Johnny April and drummer Jon Wysocki, with Sal Giancarelli taking over the drum seat in 2011. Known for heavy riffs paired with raw, introspective songwriting, the band became a leading voice of post-grunge. After the debut Tormented (1996), Staind broke out with Dysfunction (1999) and a slot on the Family Values Tour. Break the Cycle (2001) topped the Billboard 200 and produced the top-five Hot 100 smash "It's Been Awhile," and the next two albums, 14 Shades of Grey (2003) and Chapter V (2005), also reached No. 1. The Illusion of Progress (2008) and Staind (2011) both landed in the top five, and the band returned in 2023 with Confessions of the Fallen. Their rock radio staples include "Fade," "For You," "Price to Play," "So Far Away," "Right Here" and "Believe." Fronted by Lewis's powerful, emotive voice, Staind delivers an intense, cathartic show that moves from crushing guitar walls to stripped-back moments that crowds sing word for word.
