Book Spice Girls

The Spice Girls are the English pop phenomenon that turned "girl power" into a global rallying cry. Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham, better known as Scary, Sporty, Baby, Ginger and Posh, came together in 1994, hired Simon Fuller as manager and signed with Virgin Records. Their debut single, "Wannabe" (1996), hit number one in 37 countries, and the album Spice (1996) became the top-selling album ever by a female group, adding the chart-toppers "Say You'll Be There," "2 Become 1" and "Mama"/"Who Do You Think You Are." Spiceworld (1997) followed with "Spice Up Your Life," "Too Much" and "Viva Forever," and the group starred in the feature film Spice World the same year. The Spiceworld Tour in 1998 set a box-office record for a female group, and Forever (2000) closed out their original run of albums. With record sales above 100 million, they reunited for the Return of the Spice Girls Tour in 2007. The Spice Girls deliver pure dance-pop joy, colorful personalities and a catalog of hits that entire crowds know by heart.
