Backstreet Boys is a vocal group formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1993, made up of cousins Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson along with Nick Carter, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean. After their self-titled 1996 debut, the group reached superstardom with Backstreet's Back and then Millennium in 1999, which included "I Want It That Way." Other hits include "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)," "As Long as You Love Me," "Larger than Life" and "Shape of My Heart," with later albums Black & Blue, Never Gone, Unbreakable, This Is Us, In a World Like This and DNA in 2019. The group was nominated for the Grammy for Best New Artist, won American Music Awards in 1999, 2000 and 2001, and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2013. Its Las Vegas residencies and arena tours are famous for sharp choreography and tight five-part harmonies.
