Book Snarky Puppy

Snarky Puppy have won five Grammy Awards, including Best Contemporary Instrumental Album four times, for Sylva, Culcha Vulcha, Live at the Royal Albert Hall and Empire Central. Their first Grammy came for Best R&B Performance with "Something," featuring Lalah Hathaway, from Family Dinner - Volume 1. Bassist and bandleader Michael League founded the jazz fusion group as a ten-piece in Denton, Texas, in 2004, while studying at the University of North Texas, and it has since grown into a rotating collective of about 40 musicians known as "the Fam," with six players from its first studio album, The Only Constant, still on the regular roster. Mixing jazz, funk, rock and world music, the band built its audience through albums recorded live in front of studio audiences, including Tell Your Friends, We Like It Here and the Family Dinner collaborations, and studio records such as Culcha Vulcha and Immigrance. League also runs the GroundUP label and festival. Members have played with Erykah Badu, Marcus Miller, Justin Timberlake, Kirk Franklin, Roy Hargrove, David Crosby and Snoop Dogg. Their concerts showcase extended solos, tight ensemble writing and virtuoso musicianship from every chair on stage.
