Book Raekwon
Raekwon, born Corey Quontrell Woods in 1970, is a rapper from Staten Island, New York, who first gained attention as an original member of Wu-Tang Clan, the hip-hop collective, which found mainstream success after the release of the debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers). His fourteen studio and collaborative albums include Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… in 1995, widely cited for its cinematic, mafia-inspired storytelling, Immobilarity in 1999, The Lex Diamond Story in 2003 and Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt II in 2009. He also released Wu-Massacre in 2010, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang in 2011, Wu Victory in 2012 and The Tonite Show in 2013. His raw, vivid lyrics and gravelly voice are signature parts of the Wu-Tang sound. Raekwon's live shows are loud, communal celebrations of New York hip-hop.
