Book Pigeons Playing Ping Pong
Pigeons Playing Ping Pong is a Baltimore, Maryland, funk and jam outfit known for high-energy psychedelic funk and a relentless road schedule that has reached as many as two hundred shows in a year. The group began in 2009 as a dorm project at the University of Maryland and grew into a nationally touring act fronted by vocalist and guitarist Greg Ormont. Their first full-length record, Funk E P, arrived in 2010, its playful title often mistaken for a short release. They followed it with a steady run of studio albums: Psychology in 2014, Pleasure in 2016, Pizazz in 2017, Presto in 2020, Perspective in 2022, Day in Time in 2024 and Feed the Fire in 2025. Since 2009 the band has also hosted its own Domefest music festival, which currently takes place at West Virginia's Ace Adventure Resort. Their shows are built around positive energy, extended improvisation and a party atmosphere that sends crowds home happier, backed by a dedicated lighting and sound crew. The band brings a joyful, danceable and fan-driven live experience to every stage.
