Book Michelle Wie

Michelle Wie West is an American professional golfer from Hawaii who became a household name as a record-setting prodigy and went on to win a major championship. She picked up the game at four, and in 2000, at only ten, she set a record as the youngest qualifier in USGA amateur championship history, the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links. At 11 she won two of Hawaii's top amateur titles, the Jennie K. Wilson Women's Invitational and the state women's stroke play championship, and in 2002 she took the women's division of the Hawaii State Open by thirteen strokes and became the youngest golfer ever to earn a place in a LPGA Tour event. She later became the youngest champion of the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links. Wie earned the Laureus World Breakthrough of the Year award in 2004 and turned pro in 2005, just shy of turning 16, amid enormous public attention and major endorsement deals. Her signature triumph came at the 2014 U.S. Women's Open, her first major title. Wie West brings a remarkable story of early fame, perseverance and championship golf, along with deep ties to the LPGA Tour.
