Book Michael Emerson
Michael Emerson is an American actor celebrated for unsettling, intelligent characters on stage and screen. He is best known as the enigmatic Benjamin Linus on Lost (2006-2010), a part first planned as a short guest arc that grew into a main cast role and won him the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2009. He then starred as reclusive billionaire Harold Finch on CBS's Person of Interest (2011-2016) and as Dr. Leland Townsend on Paramount+'s Evil (2019-2024). Earlier, his turn as killer William Hinks on The Practice won him a 2001 guest acting Emmy, and film fans know him as Zep Hindle in Saw (2004). A seasoned stage actor, he broke through off-Broadway in 1997 playing Oscar Wilde in Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, appeared opposite Uma Thurman in Le Misanthrope, was Willie Oban when The Iceman Cometh returned to Broadway in 1999 and premiered Will Eno's Wakey, Wakey in 2017.
