Book Elizabeth Perkins

Elizabeth Perkins is an American actress whose credits span beloved family films, 1980s comedies and award-nominated cable television. She made her screen debut in About Last Night (1986), was named among the promising new actors of that year, and broke through opposite Tom Hanks in Big (1988). Critics praised her work in Barry Levinson's Avalon and as a terminally ill patient opposite William Hurt in The Doctor (1991). In 1994 she played Wilma in The Flintstones and Dorey Walker in Miracle on 34th Street, and she went on to appear in Moonlight and Valentino (1995), Cats & Dogs and 28 Days (2000), The Ring Two (2005) and Hop (2011). Animation fans know her voice as Coral, Nemo's mother, in Finding Nemo (2003). From 2005 to 2009 she played the image-obsessed Celia Hodes on Showtime's Weeds, earning three Emmy nods and two Golden Globe nods for the role. More recently she appeared in Another Simple Favor (2025). Perkins brings decades of stories from Hollywood sets, from blockbuster comedies to prestige television, delivered with wit and warmth.
