Book Maddie & Tae

Maddie & Tae were a country duo built on two voices, two guitars and a sharp songwriting point of view. Maddie Font and Taylor "Tae" Kerr met through a shared vocal coach in Dallas in 2010, spent their teenage weekends driving to Nashville, and launched as Maddie & Tae after high school. In 2014 they were the very first signing to Big Machine's relaunched Dot Records imprint, and their debut single, "Girl in a Country Song" (2014), a witty answer to the bro-country era, climbed all the way to number one on Country Airplay, making them only the second female duo ever to top that chart with a first single. Their debut album, Start Here (2015), added "Fly", "Shut Up and Fish" and "Sierra". After moving to Mercury Nashville in 2018, they released The Way It Feels in 2020 and the first part of Through The Madness in 2022. The pair played their final show together in April 2026, closing a run defined by tight harmonies, honest lyrics and real chemistry on stage.
