Book Katy Perry

Katy Perry is a pop singer, songwriter and TV personality whose bold, colorful pop defined an era. Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson in 1984, she released the gospel album Katy Hudson (2001) at 16, then signed with Capitol Records and broke through with One of the Boys (2008), led by the Hot 100 chart-topper "I Kissed a Girl" (2008). Teenage Dream (2010) made her the only woman with five US number-one singles from one album: "California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)". Its reissue, The Complete Confection (2012), added the number one "Part of Me", and Prism (2013) brought two more in "Roar" and "Dark Horse". Witness (2017), Smile (2020) and 143 (2024) followed. Her honors span 13 Grammy nominations, seven MTV VMAs, among them the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, five each of Billboard and American Music Awards, a Juno, a Brit and 20 Guinness World Records. She hosted Saturday Night Live in 2011, headlined the California Dreams Tour, the Prismatic World Tour and Witness: The Tour, launched the Play residency in 2021 and took the Out of Office Tour on the road in 2026.
