Book Allie X
Allie X is the stage name of Alexandra Hughes, a Canadian singer, songwriter and visual artist known for inventive, theatrical pop. She started out in Toronto in the mid-2000s as Allie Hughes, playing with local bands across indie pop, rock, jazz and electronic music, and recorded the demo album Waiting for the Prize after studying at Sheridan College. In 2008 she competed on CBC's How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, performing songs from The Sound of Music and Björk. After moving to Los Angeles in 2013, she began working with producers Cirkut and Billboard and broke through with the 2014 single "Catch," which reached No. 55 on the Canadian Hot 100. She built her catalog with the EPs CollXtion I (2015) and Super Sunset (2018) and the albums CollXtion II (2017), Cape God (2020), Girl With No Face (2024) and Happiness Is Going to Get You (2025). Pairing sleek, synth-driven songwriting with striking visual concepts, Allie X delivers a stylish, art-pop live show for devoted fans and newcomers alike.
