Book Skylar Stecker
Skylar Stecker, who now records as Skylar Simone, is the singer, songwriter and actress who began performing as a child and has grown into a contemporary R&B artist. Born in Tampa, Florida in 2002 to former NFL running back Aaron Stecker, she grew up between Wisconsin and New Orleans and relocated to Los Angeles at nine. Starting in 2012 she sang the national anthem at college and NFL games, including for the Saints and Packers, and at a NASCAR race, eventually performing it at upward of a hundred events. In 2013 she began posting cover videos on YouTube, leading to the covers collection Uncovered, Vol. 1 (2014). Her debut studio album, This Is Me, arrived in 2015, followed by Firecracker (2016). In March 2019 she independently released Redemption, then the Earth Signs EP in 2021. A run of R&B singles in 2022, including "hate that for you," "What's Good" and "Know It's Wrong," led to the SHIVER EP in 2024, with later releases such as "WhatsInIt4Me," "UberEx," "Do U Ever" and "Pedestal." Her music pairs a smooth, soulful voice with modern R&B production.
